Parabellum Investments is a privately-owned, international investment firm with offices in London, Frankfurt, Dubai, Sydney, Melbourne and Bangalore, which provides operational support and finance to small and medium sized companies looking to grow domestically and internationally.

Our People

Richard Bennett


Richard joined Razor Risk as CEO in July 2019. He has extensive experience of working with financial institutions worldwide, assisting firms in managing enterprise risk efficiently while meeting local regulatory guidelines and standards. He has worked for financial software companies including IT&e, Algorithmics, Infinity Financial Technology and BIS Banking Systems, where it was his role to help clients manage and control the risks from their banking and trading activities. He was also active in shaping client’s responses to the changing regulatory environment.

Immediately before joining Razor Risk, Richard worked as CEO for Causality, providing consultancy in technology and business innovation. Before that he was VP Market Management, Regulatory Reporting at Wolters Kluwer.
As an expert in risk management and regulatory change, Richard has been a speaker at technology and financial industry forums for many years. Topics have included managing change in the risk and regulatory management space, achieving transparency across an enterprise and the evolution of regulatory risk models.


Peter Walsh

Global Head of Sales

Peter Walsh, Razor Risk, is a banker by trade (ACIB) and a qualified practitioner in managing IT intensive programmes allied to a lifetime of City-based roles and experiences. His experience and knowledge of the risk management and management disciplines helps provide clarity - and, with his background in banking, regulatory compliance and risk systems he is uniquely placed to discuss and describe how technology enablers can be deployed to deliver effective and efficient solutions in the most demanding situations, including the bewildering array of regulations and changes that will be affecting collateral, margining and associated risk management.

David Nelson

Global Head of Client Services

David has 20 years of experience in the creation and delivery of financial products and services for both wholesale and retail markets. David specialises in designing and implementing new business systems and applications to solve complex customer problems. He’s passionate about achieving an optimal user experience combined with maximised operational efficiency. He’s held a variety of senior trading, risk, operational, relationship and project management roles with leading financial and investment institutions including ANZ, NAB, JBWere and IWL.


Rami Cassis

Founder & CEO, Parabellum Investments

Rami Cassis has proven success growing companies ranging in size from $5m to $150m in revenue, leading transactions including reverse takeovers / IPO’s, and take-privates.

Rami is an international operational investor specialising in lower mid-market companies, operating through Parabellum Investments, the company he leads and founded.

The firm has offices in London, Frankfurt, Dubai, Singapore and Sydney, primarily deploys its own funds on long-term, operational investment strategies and has extensive experience and expertise in enterprise software and business services.

It also operates in more specialist sectors such as banking and finance and oilfield services.

Parabellum Investments has proven success growing from $5m to $150m in revenues and leading a variety of corporate transactions, such as reverse takeovers / IPO’s, take-private, plus the integration of companies their acquisitions. Current investments include Parseq, IE Digital and Razor Risk. Rami is also the Chairman of Advanco, who have been offering extensive, holistic and mission critical solutions in the fields of supply chains as well as Track & Trace for almost 40 years.

Previously Rami has held a number of executive positions with corporations, including Chairman, CEO, COO, and Operations Director, and brings insight from this experience to the companies with which Parabellum Investments works. At various times a resident of Egypt, France, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Congo, Gabon, Angola, UAE, and England, Rami has conducted business in over 20 countries and holds French, British and Australian citizenships.

He began his career with Schlumberger, working as Director of the Asian region and Director of Engineering Resourcing and Development for MEA and APAC. Subsequently, Rami had a brief consulting career, originally with KPMG prior to returning to line management at and later with Atos Origin, where he was director of IT Outsourcing for the firm in the UK.

Rami holds degrees in Engineering Aerospace and Pure and Applied Mathematics, both gained at the University of New South Wales, Australia.
